Shaw and Davoll perform with three features of the Pyrenees landscape which surround Aulus-les-Bains in southern France. Using a range of different listening technologies, the duo experiment with the movement of a disused pillar drill (made in 1922) in La Porte; explore vibrational feedback loops through steel crucifixes by Ersé church; and use contact microphones to hear rain and wind interacting with the ski-lift cables of the La Guzet winter resort. This video was performed, recorded and edited in a single day during a CAMP residency led by Chris Watson in May 2018. Performances are presented here as single takes without edits or layerings.
