The bonfires of the 11th of July have been adopted as a Unionist celebration, this time is heightened with emotions and escalated trouble. Bonfires are now confined to strict guidelines and managed by committees with government grants. By de-saturating the digital image I attempt to remove the political connotations associated within the frame, relating back to the traditional Celtic routes of the event.
